St Peter’s College Grounds
St Peter’s is situated on a large parcel of land of over 11 hectares. With two main ovals we can cater for AFL, athletics, cricket, hockey, football, rugby and a variety of other sports. We also have two courts dedicated to basketball and netball.
Although the grounds suffered considerable damage in the 2019 New Year’s Eve bush fires we have worked incredibly hard to make the grounds even better than before. The loss of a large fruit and edible garden was probably the most disappointing as the trees had taken a considerable time to mature. We have replanted numerous gardens and are continuing to improve the campus gardens and ovals.
The Senior School has a market garden utilised by all year 7 students and the Junior School has a chicken coop and vegetable garden. We have an outdoor classroom in the vegetable garden area.
We have built a cross country track around the perimeter of the school and Junior School students can ride their mountain bikes on the track when we have our weekly wheels day. Wheels day is where students can bring their bike to school and ride around during recess and lunchtime.
