St Peter’s Facilities
St Peter’s will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023. In a short time, our School has grown and flourished with the development of well designed, modern facilities spread across our large campus. Students and staff have space to move and breath.
All classrooms are air-conditioned and are part of rolling refurbishments to keep them up to date with current educational practice. We do this to ensure our staff and students have excellent learning and teaching facilities.
The Library is the heart of the campus. Centrally located, it is a large light filled building with numerous spaces to cater for Junior School students right through to the special study room for our Year 12s.
The TAS subjects are well serviced by a kitchen, butlers pantry, textiles room, two art rooms (one in the Junior School and one in the Senior School) and a woodwork room. Our new ‘workshop’ is a purpose built 500 square metre building for industrial art subjects like woodwork, jewelry making, metalwork, engineering and co-curricular subjects like surfboard making.
There are a number of covered areas for students to have lunch, complete work or just hangout. All Senior School students have a locker so there is no need to carry a heavy bag all day or to and from school.
The Junior School includes a dedicated Prep area (for students who turn 4), a dedicated Kindergarten area and modern classrooms which have all been renovated over the last two years. One of the benefits of being on a P-12 campus is opportunity for our Junior School students to use many of the specialist facilities. They particularly love cooking in the kitchen!
In 2021, we moved our Year 3s to the north of the campus into a dedicated facility, called Forest School. This purpose built space has light filled classrooms, a kitchen prep area, storage areas for boots and jackets and large verandahs. Food gardens, water tanks and a fire pit area are all nearby and play a significant role in the learning journey of the Year 3s.
The College has invested heavily in solar panels to play our part in reducing impacts on our environment and demonstrating best practice to our students and community. We encourage healthy choices for physical fitness and overall well-being. There are two bike areas, one at the front Office and one towards the back of the school, for those students and staff who live close enough to ride or walk to school. We also have a dedicated bus shelter and bus lane for those who travel from a bit further away.
