Working at St Peter’s Anglican College
St Peter’s is renowned for its excellence in teaching and learning and for the positive and caring learning culture and environment.
The College recognises that exceptional staff are the most important element in effective education, which is why we place so much importance on supporting and developing our staff and our strong values-based culture.
Staff-student relationships are crucial, our teachers go above and beyond to make a positive difference to their students’ lives by providing expert support and guidance. Our Administration, Support and Operations staff are equally as important in supporting the teaching and learning program, and work across a range of areas.
The College is a highly sought after and stimulating working environment in one of Australia’s most idyllic locations.
If you are considering a role at our College, please also note that St Peter’s Anglican College has statutory Child Protection responsibilities under revised legislation which became effective on 15 June 2013. Under the Child Protection [Working with Children] Act 2012 [NSW] and the Child Protection [Working with Children] Regulation 2013 [NSW] the School can only employ persons who hold a WWCC clearance from the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian. Further information can be found on the Service NSW website here.
Living on the South Coast of NSW
St Peter’s College is located centrally within the Eurobodalla Shire in the beautiful seaside village of Broulee.
The Eurobodalla has a mild climate and an attractive lifestyle for families and people of all ages. 70% of the region is either National Park or State Forest. The beaches are quiet with good surfing and swimming conditions all year round, however, you will probably need a wetsuit for some of the year as the water is a little cool in the latter half of the year. There are many rivers which are great for fishing, boating, skiing and paddling.
There is an airport 5 minutes from the College and you can fly to Sydney in around 40 minutes. Canberra is 2 hours’ drive away and Sydney is around 4 hours.
The South Coast is currently in the midst of a development boom with a number of major development projects having started or about to start. This includes significant up-grades to the Princes Highway, building of a new major regional hospital and a new cultural and swimming complex.
For families thinking of moving out of the city you will go a long way to find a better place (and school) for your children to grow and develop.
