Mr Darren McPartland commenced as Principal of St Peter’s College at the start of 2018.
Darren has held a number of leadership positions in schools across Australia. Prior to joining St Peter’s, he was Director of Pastoral Care and Leadership at Hale School in Perth. Before his time at Hale School he spent 13 years at Christ Church Grammar School (Perth) and held a number of positions including Head of Moyes House, Director of Co-curricular and Planning and Head of Physical Education. Darren has also worked in Malaysia, Melbourne and Alice Springs.
He has a huge passion for sport and the outdoors. Darren is passionate about North Melbourne in the AFL. With his best playing days behind him he is heavily involved in local junior sport with his children – Broulee Surf Club, Moruya Giants AFL and Batemans Bay Cricket. When he has some spare time he likes to surf, paddle his ski, swim or ride.
Darren originally comes from the wheatbelt area of Western Australia and moving to Broulee has allowed his children to grow-up in the country. Darren is married to Kelly and has a son Deakin and daughter Rosie. Deakin and Rosie both attend St Peter’s.
